Redesigning Retreats
At Kitty House is a unique family-run holiday venue in a stunning rural location in the North Lakes. As the business has recently been handed over to the next generation, Christian and Annie needed a fresh new identity to reflect the aspirational new vision they had for the brand. Our discovery session together showed them as passionate about being attentive, personal hosts, providing a sumptuous stay for those needing to truly get away from it all. The bright, Scandinavian-style cottages provide peaceful, luxury accommodation for those looking for an experience that’s a bit different, and this needed to shine through in their new identity.
The Adventure
Inspired by the interior design overhaul of the two cottages, The Fold and The Byre, we steered towards a light, modern and minimalist design for the brand identity. The pastel colour palette we chose was inspired by the cottages surroundings, with mountains, streams, and wild flowers in every direction. The logo design incorporates a simple graphic which represents the mountain by which the cottages sit, and a crisp, clean typeface with gentle kerning to elevate the brand and give it a calm, aspirational edge.
The Destination
At Kitty House now has a brand identity that resonates with and attracts the people Christian and Annie know would most enjoy the cottage space and experience they have created. The space is a divine retreat for professional couples with a desire for something different, and the new logo and palette sets the tone for this perfectly. Christian and Annie have the brand tools now to proudly showcase the hard work they have put into their business, transforming the vision for the future of the cottages from a dream into a reality, and filling their first summer with a string of bookings.
