Revitalising Hope

Our Place Support is a Community Interest Company, offering a beacon of hope and assistance to local residents in need. With a passionate commitment to mental health and wellbeing, they run a Community Hub in the heart of Sutton Coldfield and deliver vital advice and services all aimed at fostering a vibrant and healthier community in Sutton Coldfield and across Birmingham.

However, their branding was outdated and uninviting, failing to convey the true essence of their mission and values. Recognising the need for change, Our Place Support embarked on a branding overhaul to better reflect their identity and the significant impact they have on improving the lives of those they serve.

The Adventure

The brief was to maintain the core structure of the logo, applying a modern twist and fresh new look, yet ensuring it still felt distinctly recognisable as ‘them’. Through our discovery session, we understood that at the heart of their mission was the creation of a safe space for open dialogue – a welcoming environment where individuals can discuss personal struggles, seek assistance on matters like housing, benefits, and employment, and access mental health mentoring support.

The logo design was therefore crafted from the original blocks, and developed into two overlapping speech bubbles, softening the corners and using a curved font to show openness, warmth and accessibility. To enhance the look, we introduced a vibrant and fresh colour palette across the main logo and sub-brands, working harmoniously together to create a cohesive and inviting visual identity.

When we presented our new logo to our Directors, it was very well received! We are really happy with the creative energy invested into the brand refresh and excited to move forward with adopting our new look. The Destination

The new brand has been warmly embraced by both directors and end-users, providing the professional image necessary for securing funding, gaining referrals from local schools, and attracting support from Trusts and Councils. Our Place Support’s identity seamlessly combines care, compassion, and collaboration with a polished, professional aesthetic that resonates with a diverse audience.

The carefully selected brand colours enhance communication, offering clear signposting that enables service users to quickly and easily access vital information. This effective branding not only strengthens the organisation’s credibility but also fosters a sense of warmth and approachability, empowering stakeholders and enriching the overall experience for everyone involved.
