Communication with Heart

Connaught Communications are a communications business, specialising in phone systems, connectivity, door access, and security. From our first meeting, it was clear that their brand wasn’t at all reflective of their character as a business.

Their distinct USP was the caring and attentive family vibe – not only as a business founded and run by members of the same family, but the wider family members too – their long-standing team of technicians. This results in a very different experience for their customers, who find they are working with real people that care about keeping them connected and protected.

The Adventure

Their existing brand looked cold, corporate and business-like, so our challenge was to bring out the Connaught character without changing the core brand elements. We made the decision to break out of the blue and grey – with a punchy lime and zingy yellow, to highlight the two core strands to the business ‘Connected, and Protected.’

We brought in a new, friendlier typeface too, to contrast with the current Helvetica. Finally, we created a new, colourful graphic styling from the company logo to feature throughout their communications, and gave their imagery an overhaul for a more personable feel.

It was great working with CUDOS Creative – we’ve managed to keep our long-established logo and elements of our core brand whilst giving this a new lease of life. The smallest changes from typeface, colour palettes etc have completely transformed the look and feel – bringing in both personality and character to the website. It’s completely re-energised our marketing!

The Destination

Our first task was to revive the brands online presence, so we created new banners, icons and graphics to re-skin their website and give it a new, vibrant lease of life. We also rolled the new look out across their proposal documents, so they can make the right first impression with new customers.

The proposal documents are designed to be a more personalised experience, so the customer knows their core issues are completely understood, and reassured that Connaught will address these issues with the care and attentiveness that makes them so unique.
